:: Trend Story – Festival Outfits

photography by Luisa Wiehr.

Summer season equals festival season. There are small and big festivals for every music taste going on and thanks to the infamous Coachella festival, a great opportunity for every fashion girl to come up with the most awesome outfits.

Key points are cool & comfortable – looks in which you can dance through day and night and have the time of your lives with hopefully great music and a piece of freedom. But how to use these two points and create memorable looks?

To give you some ideas, I made this little photo story, which shows 5 different festival looks. I focused on colorful combinations with bold orange and pink, options with flowing materials and options with straight stiff shapes.

Look 1

This option is quite a classic to festivals. Cut off denims, cropped denim jackets and crop top. But the colors do the magic here. Go for some unusual denim colors to raise the style level.

A festival is no place for girly skirts? Well, this flower print midi skirt is a super cool option with buttoned front and elastic waistband. That means total comfort and movement freedom. Moreover it is a happy eye-catcher which looks pretty bad ass when combined with a sexy black crop top and black boots.

Imagine one of those romantic scenes of running and jumping in a flowing dress over wide fields – how the swift fabric would fly in the winds. Why not create a few dreamy photo moments – because this look not only feels super light but is also very photogenic.

Look 4

If you want to take the photo game just a little bit further, I can only recommend you a floor length chiffon dress with slits. Couldn’t stop twirling with it. Add a suiting little bag for a monochrome look to keep your essentials at hand.

Voila!

Look 5

No looks for you so far? Maybe this one is. My personal favorite and a very trendy 2017 take on things. I am wearing a hoodie with deep cut out and a strap bra underneath. Combined with bold culottes, black boots and a pretty bag and you will be the ultimate fashionista of the festival.
